The Sunshine Coast Branch of the International Tropical Foliage and Garden Society is a branch of the parent club Bundaberg.

It has about 35 active members and meets on the last Saturday of the month, usually in a member’s garden, with the venu changing each month.

Our club provides an opportunity for people with a passion for plants and gardening to socialise and to share ideas, knowledge and information.

  • To develop our members’ knowledge of plants and of all aspects of gardening by sharing experiences and expertise and by engaging guest speakers
  • To assist each other in improving our own gardens
  • To share plants and to access suppliers of rare or specialised plants
  • To provide an opportunity for members to obtain answers to their plant and gardening problems
  • To provide information to members about Open Gardens and other garden related activities on the Sunshine Coast.

Our meetings are kept as informal as possible so that members feel encouraged to participate in the discussion.

A raffle is held at each meeting and the proceeds are used to subsidise club activities and to give donations to community groups whose activities reflect the interests of our club.

At the end of our meetings the host presents a talk about their garden. Those attending are then invited to tour the garden.

  • Bring a “plate” to share, a chair and a cup/mug.
  • When/where possible, bring a quality plant for the raffle.
  • Coffee/tea/milk/sugar/hot water is provided at the venue 9.30 to 10.00am. Morning Tea and Socialise.

10.00 to 11.00am Meeting. 11.00 to 11.30am Presentation by guest speaker. 11.30 to 12 noon Talk and tour.
